Using this torch is a method of thermal weed control. Thermal weed control is a name for methods using high temperatures to control weeds. Flame treatment with LPG burners is completely dominant and today almost only thermal method is used commercially. The Sievert Propane Torch Model 2230 is designed to be used with a 14.1 or 16.4 oz disposable cylinder (not included). The torch has a regulating knob to control the flow of fuel and a connection valve for connecting the propane cylinder to the torch. How to Use: Sweep slowly with the burner about 2" above the weeds. The plant shall be heated, not burned. The result will be that the plant dries out within a few days. The "dose" is adapted to the size and density of the weeds as well as the weather.
