The Optima 20 Electric Stapler is efficent and quiet so you can be productive without disturbing your co-workers. It staples up to 20 sheets, Jam Free Guaranteed, with Optima Premium Staples. Staple automatically, or choose manual mode to activate the motor only when you want. Plus, Optima 20 runs on power via the included AC adapter or 6 AA batteries. Batteries not included, sold separately. Not compatible with rechargeable batteries. It includes Intelligent Paper Alignment Guide and Stack Height Gauge to help guide staple placement and ensure you don't exceed the maximum sheet count. A low staple indicator light blinks to alert you when you are almost out to staples. The QuickLoad feature simplifies staple refilling. Just push a button and the staple magazine pops out from the front. An on-board staple remover detaches from the back of the stapler to allow quick fixes. • The staples holder must be pulled out manually, it will not slide out on its own if you tilt the stapler downward. The staple slots locked in place, but have to be fully pushed in until it clicks.
• For the Automatic Mode, the paper must be pushed all the way back, it is activated by a mechanical trigger. Jamming will only occur if the paper is pulled out too fast or if the battery voltage is low.
