The device has 2 smart modes. The night light works dusk-dawn and emits 2 lumens of light when it detects darkness. This gently illuminates your home at night, no light is emitted in the day. Bright mode is activated at night ONLY when it auto detects movement, and it emits 10 lumens of light to provide a path of light to help navigate your way, without needing to turn on the 'big 'light. The device then returns to the gentle night light mode after 60 seconds of non-movement.
